The story
Nouakchott, the capital of Mauritania, has two interesting places to visit - the huge fishing port and the equally huge camel market, which is the second largest in the world after the one in Sudan. However, the size can be debated as there are similar markets in many places worldwide. For example, I believe the one in Pushkar, India is the largest, having visited it twice and still not being able to explore it all.

From my perspective, the place is exotic - dusty, dirty, full of camels and men in blue clothes trading them, a paradise for photographers and lovers of interesting places. However, others may describe it as dirty, hot, and smelly. For locals, it is a workplace where they spend most of their life.
We walked on a dirty road between small herds of camels and groups of people dressed in blue clothes, trading them. There was a little commotion with a few camels becoming more restless than usual. People were friendly and had no issue with us taking pictures.

The city of Nouakchott is often referred to as the ugliest capital in the world, but I would rather call it exotic. Everyone who visits the city comes to this market.
